Tour overview
Also known as Chichontepec this is the 2nd tallest volcano : San Vicente. It’s twin-peaked shape are sections of the collapse of and old crater. Nowadays it shows activity in the form of fumaroles on the skirts.
The walk starts in a small village on the Western slope of the volcano. The first minutes are on dirt and cobblestone roads. Then turn to steep trails among coffee plantations and the last section (the steepest) is in the cloud forest.

Highlights: a real challenge, specially to reach the top. On a clear day great views to the Pacific Ocean.
